My photoshoot with my two nieces!

My two nieces (my little brother's girls) Midori, a student/ singer/ model and Mariah, a college student/ model came over on Monday and posed for me. We had to really rush because their brother needed the car, so with about an hour, after getting dressed and pinning up their hair, I clickety clicked as fast as possible!
My nieces are just breath-taking and the sweetest girls, they can make anything look fantastic! Plus they are experienced in front of the camera and knew just how to pose, so it was easy for me.
They are coming back on Sunday to finish the things we didn't get to. I gave them some jewelry and hair stuff for being so gracious to do their auntie this favor.
Everything can be found in my etsy shop! Thanks guys!

Another giveaway on someone else's blog

So I sent my new necklace, freshwater pearls and Italian sterling silver, all the way to Australia to be listed on another etsian's blog for a giveaway! This is the link (you have to scroll pretty far down until you see "giveaway with rtisan" http://blog.idoityourself.com.au/

She is also including a coupon worth $50 for wedding invites from her store. She makes lovely cards! http://www.etsy.com/shop/idoityourself

She also spends a lot of time blogging and putting together wedding accessory montages that are very pretty.

I'm getting MODELS on Monday!

So excited! My two lovely nieces, Midori and Mariah (my little brother's girls) are going to help me out and model my new hair fascinators, and if there's time, hopefully my jewelry. Etsians have told me hair clips look better modeled, but I hate my pics of me currently in my store.
Mariah already models part time while she attends college, and Midori is a singer in my brother's band, so both aren't shy in front of the lens.
I am going to let them have whatever hair accessory or jewelry they want, because this is a HUGE favor to me.
Thanks guys!

I made veils and found a cool video for a bridal updo

I used Russian lace and made bandeau style veils, one in black and another in ivory which I accented with teeny Swarovski crystals, sequins, and fancy bobby pins.

Here is an easy way to style you hair in an updo (from youtube) for wedding, prom, etc.:

Okay not your usual blog post...

I'm going to hell, I'm sure...and this probably does not belong on my business blog, but I just had to post it. It was morning, all sleepy and peaceful, lighting moody and serene, blankets curved just so. Capturing a quiet moment. I won't mention his name and he never reads my blog...
