For jewelry that is! It doesn't make me happy anymore because all I do is promote, promote, promote, worry, and promote some more. Etsy does not do well with higher end work, especially jewelry. So I am having this blow out sale for about a week, then moving whatever doesn't sell, to http://rubylane.com/ where you pay advertising fees so no promoted needed, as I have been told.
I'm not leaving etsy, but am changing up what kind of store I want. I want something fun, that's fun to make and inexpensive to buy, like my articulated paper puppets or even papier mache figures. I'll also continue to knit scarves and make my tiny Japanese bags. Just no more jewelry for me!
Have fun with this sale!

So sorry to see you go, but am glad to see you are doing what is best for you and your work. That's kind of the thing about being a working artist/artisan, you have to follow your bliss and find the right opportunities.
My best to you!
We're not too far away from each other! I saw your post in the Etsy forum the other day, and I know what you mean about promoting for countless hours for only a few sales here and there. It's not easy and this economy doesn't help much either. It's hard to continue doing something you don't love anymore either. Best wishes to you :0)
P.S. Your jewelry is so so pretty! Maybe someday things will change.
Good Luck to you, you do great work.
change is good! i hope it works good for you!
